The “tenacious 10” graduated from Girard College High School on Thursday, June 8. The Commencement speaker was David J. Johns, a White House and Senate advisor on educational topics. Family and friends gathered at the Chapel to celebrate with this small-but-mighty class

This particular class has a lot to celebrate. They made the difficult decision to stick with Girard College when the school’s future was being decided, focusing on academic work and community projects. At the conclusion of their senior year, the students collectively earned $740,000 in merit-based college scholarships. Class of 2017, we salute you!
